Granny's Doll

When I was young, my grandmother gave me a doll which she had knitted herself. It was a doll version of herself with really long arms and legs. That doll sure brings back memories.

The task was to closely observe our chosen doll and portray it using various techniques. We were introduced to new methods such as printmaking and linotype.

As a result, I have made a short comic in a collaboration with my classmate Moritz Überschlag and his Homer Simpson doll. Other than that, I have experimented with cardboard printmaking and lastly I have painted a series of gigantic versions of my doll which focuses on its pose and flexibility.
