My name is Akira Yamaguchi and I'm a junior graphic designer. My portfolio consists of Poster Design, Editorial Design, Illustration and more.

Giambattista Bodoni, an Italian typographer who had designed over 290 typefaces in his lifetime, one of which bears his name and is still commonly used today.

My class was given a task to design a newspaper about famous type designers. Each student was assigned a different typographer at random, and I’ve received the man behind the modern serif font, Bodoni.

While researching his biography, I was fascinated by his book Manuale Tipografico. Because of this I came up with the idea of using it as a design concept.
